The Stroke association (£1000)

GSD Society

The Stroke Association provides specialist support, funds critical research and campaigns to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives. This is a team effort and takes the determination of stroke survivors and carers, the generosity of supporters and the dedication of the healthcare and research communities to get there.

This donation was made in memory of Derek Burgess.

Kevin delivers our £1000 donation

Richard House Children’s Hospice (£1000)

GSD Society

W Bro Kevin braved the cold to make a special delivery of £1000 from the Chapter to the Richard House Children’s Hospice. They are based in East London and provide palliative care to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions right across London.They are currently facing a shortfall of around £500,000 this financial year.

Shelter (£1000)

GSD Society

Having a home is a human right. It's our foundation and it's where we thrive. Yet, every day millions of people are being devastated by the housing emergency. Shelter provide support services with housing issues and homelessness. Their free emergency helpline is open 365 days a year to answer calls from anyone struggling with a housing issue or homelessness.

Cockermouth Mountain Rescue (£1000)

GSD Society

The team is made up of around 40 volunteers, first formed in 1953 by local mountaineers. They rescue people and animals in the North West area of the Lake District and Cumbria, typically attending about 70 incidents every year and are totally financed totally by voluntary donations. Our donation was made in memory of George Brown.

Hospice at Home West Cumbria (£1000)

GSD Society

Hospice at Home West Cumbria, established in 1987, provides high quality, palliative and end of life care. They are the only provider of adult hospice services in this area. They also deliver a range of family and bereavement support services for families, carers and those bereaved; these include one to one support, group support and complementary therapy, enabling people to cope during the most difficult and challenging times in their lives. This donation was made in memory of George Brown.

The CGD Society (£1000)

GSD Society

The Chronic Granulomatous Disorder Society (CGD Society) is based in the UK and was originally registered as a charity in 1991 under the name The Chronic Granulomatous Disorder Research Trust. Over the years, the charity has transformed from a small parent support group into a leading global source of information and support for Chronic Granulomatous Disorder (sometimes referred to as Chronic Granulomatous Disease).

Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity (£1200)

Great Ormond Street Hospital Chairty

Great Ormond Street Hospital has over 240,000 patient visits each year for the rarest and most complex conditions and offers the widest range of paediatric services under one roof in Britain.

Starlight Charity (£1000)

Starlight Chairty

A national children’s charity that exists to champion the importance of play and defend every seriously ill child’s right to it. They achieve this through hospital play and distraction services, as well as their programme of Starlight events and experiences. They support children, families and health professionals to make moments of escape for those who need it most.

Tree of Hope (£3000)

Starlight Chairty

Tree of Hope helps children and young people with a disability or illness by supporting their families to raise the money they need to pay for specialist care that is not freely available through the UK healthcare system. They support families to fundraise towards these costs, safe in the knowledge they are working with a registered charity to maximise their fundraising opportunities and get support  every step of the way. Donors will be reassured they are donating to a registered charity and their money will be used for what it was originally donated for.

Alzheimer’s Society (£1000)

Alzheimer's Society

The Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. They campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia today.


Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and there’s currently no cure.


This donation was made in remembrance of our dear departed Brother, Gerald Hale.

London Air Ambulance (£1000)

Alzheimer's Society

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Using a helicopter from 08:00 to sunset, and rapid response cars at night or in adverse weather situations, London’s Air Ambulance brings the hospital to the patient when time is critical.

Alzheimer's Society

Cancer Research UK is dedicated to saving lives through research. Their mission is to prevent, control and cure cancer through ground-breaking research and in the last 40 years their work has helped double survival rates. But there is more work to be done.


The only charity fighting over 200 types of cancer, they rely on every pound donated to help get closer to beating cancer.

UNICEF UK (£235)

Alzheimer's Society

The United Nations Children’s Fund, works to build a better world for every child, every day, everywhere. UNICEF provides more children with clean water, life-saving food and vaccines, education and protection from violence than any other humanitarian organisation.


UNICEF works with families, local communities, organisations and governments in more than 190 countries to help every child realise their full potential; the most vulnerable children and those in greatest need have priority.
